Smoke-Free Homes: Some Things are Better Outside

An evidence-based intervention to support families in creating a smoke-free home.

Smoke-Free Homes: Some Things are Better Outside is an evidence-based intervention that helps households to create rules that decrease exposure to secondhand smoke through household smoking restrictions. Core elements include a smoke-free home kit and stage-based goal setting around five-steps to a smoke-free home. The intervention is typically delivered through three mailings of print materials and a coaching call over six weeks.
