Water, Water Everywhere and Not a Drop to Drink!

The 2006 Models of Excellence Lecture Series engages public health practitioners in discussions about historical and contemporary public health events and extract lessons for future preparedness. Dr. Mark Rosenberg and Dr. Christine Moe co-present the lecture, Water, Water Everywhere and Not a Drop to Drink!, which showcases both the Gastrointestinal Illness at Crater Lake National Park in 1975 as the ‘Historical Issue’ and Protecting Our Water Supply in Contemporary Times as the ‘Contemporary Issues’. Each presenter describes the event or issue at hand and identifies lessons learned for public health practitioners today or in the future. Dr. Rick Rheingans moderates this session and facilitates a discussion intended to elaborate on the lessons for preparedness.
