Excellence in Education

This lecture, presented by Dr. Earl Lewis, focused on essential elements of educational excellence. Dr. Lewis joined Emory University in 2004 as the Provost, the principal academic officer of the university and the primary liaison with the deans and faculties on academic matters, including, but not limited to, faculty development and discipline, academic program development, evaluation and review, and strategic academic planning. Supporting efforts to design and present exceptional and effective curriculum based on research and practice, the lecture provided examples of what has exemplified excellence in curriculum and practice at Emory and elsewhere as well as how organizations and Universities can create nurturing environments of educational excellence.
