CDC’s Historical Role in Preparedness: A Look at Several Historical Perspectives

Dr. Jeffrey Koplan, Director of the Emory Global Health Institute and former Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, discusses historic threats to the public health of our nation and the world and the efforts to prepare for and mitigate these threats. Dr. Koplan focuses on the 3P’s of Preparedness, Prevention, and Promotion and the multiple challenges within every public health issue.
