A panel of presenters from NACCHO (Michael Fraser, PhD), the DeKalb Center for Public Health Preparedness (Darren Collins, BS) and the East Central Health District Advance Practice Center (Frank Rumph, MD) provide an overview of the Advanced Practice Center national program and mission; the unique contributions that APCs are making to the nation’s preparedness; the specific nature, activities and programs of Georgia’s two Advance Practice Centers; tools and resources being developed; and lessons learned in preparing public health agency personnel for bioterrorism preparedness.
