Are there any Prerequisites?

Participants should be familiar with the vocabulary and principles of basic epidemiology before attending these courses. It is recommended that all participants complete CDC's " Principles of Epidemiology" self-study course (SS1000) or an equivalent.

Other suggested materials to review

Because the course provides hands-on training in the use of epidemiologic software, prior exposure to the use of computers is highly recommended. Participants are asked to bring hand held scientific calculators. Personal laptops are not necessary as computer instruction will take place in a laboratory with an individual PC for each participant.

Please note that individual courses may have varying prerequisites.
