Course Description
The course includes a review of the fundamentals of epidemiology and biostatistics,
and in-depth lectures on two important topics in multivariable methods: stratified analysis
and logistic regression modeling. Computer labs will cover the fundamentals of SAS programming and
implementation of these methods in SAS. A prerequisite is a basic course in epidemiology.

Who Should Attend
The course is for practicing public health professionals who
have had training and experience in basic applied epidemiology
and now would like training in additional quantitative skills
related to analysis and interpretation of epidemiologic data.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of work in applied epidemiology and
biostatistics, an introduction to analytic epidemiology,
familiarity with use of the computer, and prior experience in
Epi Info. Participation in the introductory
Epidemiology In Action course, or in a similar course will
satisfy the prerequisites.
