Anthrax at Emory? A Multi-Agency Response to a Suspicious Envelope

This web-based case study describes an incident involving a suspicious envelope that occurred on the Emory University campus in September 2002. The case study is broken down into five modules: 1) Introduction; 2) Background on Anthrax; 3) Case Study: Anthrax at Emory; 4) Emergency Response Protocols; and 5) Conclusion. Module 4, Emergency Response Protocols, is organized into five sections: A) Identifying and Responding to a Suspicious Package; B) On-Scene Response; C) Laboratory Testing; D) Clinical Procedures; and E) Risk Communication.
