Working With the Media During a Public Health Crisis

This multimedia training is designed to assist non-communications public health professionals when working with the media during a crisis. The content is divided into three modules: Module 1: Introduction to Emergency Risk Communications; Module 2: The Culture of the Media; and Module 3: Techniques for Working With the Media. Through interactive lessons, the learner will learn the role of the news media as an avenue for communicating vital information to the public, along with helpful interviewing tips and techniques for telephone and on-camera interviews.
