POD/Dispensing Site Operations Training

This training focuses on the operation of a POD (Point of Dispensing) – also referred to as a Dispensing Site – for public health staff, emergency management professionals, and trained volunteers. Based on POD procedures developed by the Georgia Division of Public Health, an overview of background concepts relevant to mass dispensing for a public health emergency and what a patient should expect upon arrival to a POD, are presented. In depth information regarding POD areas, staff roles, and the role of community partners and volunteers are also discussed. (2009)
