2001 Individual Award Recipient
James Lewis
In his role as President of NUCUP, Mr. Lewis works with numerous Fulton County
government agencies that specialize in health and community services. Mr. Lewis also
works closely with the police and fire department of East Point to solicit their
participation in various events that NUCUP holds each year. He has dedicated his life
to improve the lives of the city's at-risk children and their families. NUCUP provides
children with a positive alternative to crime, drugs, and teenage pregnancy through the
Family Life Enrichment Experience Program. He is a positive role model for others,
believes in hard work and doing what is needed to make sure that the needs of children,
their families, and the community are met. He performs all of his roles with a smile on
his face and kindness in his heart.
