Rev. Carol Jean Miller
201 Washington St.
Atlanta, GA 30303

The Central Outreach Center offers help to its neighborhood residents by providing basic human needs. Some of the services that they provide are: groceries; MARTA cards and tokens for those who have medical appointments or new jobs; Georgia I.D. cards; referrals for jobs; clothing and furniture; bus tickets for people who are stranded in Atlanta; and counseling for the newly homeless, new to Atlanta, or those experiencing a crisis.

"Many people associate "Central" with a long legacy of service as a church deeply engaged in the promise and pain of urban life. Many others think of Central as a wellspring which nourishes the human spirit through rich worship, relevant preaching and a deep sacramental life. Still others associate Central with a community that celebrates diversity and welcomes the stranger until he or she is a stranger no more.

Central's roots go back to the very beginning of Atlanta's life, but we are also a church that is remarkably contemporary. Most importantly, we strive to be attentive to how and where God may be leading us to follow our Lord Jesus Christ in this day and time. From our location at the corner of Power and Powerlessness, we seek to be empowered by the fresh winds of God's Spirit that are blowing in this place even now!"
