Our Mission

The award-winning Atlanta Tribune is a monthly newsmagazine targeted at metropolitan Atlanta's African-American executives, professionals and entrepreneurs. Business is undoubtedly the engine that drives Atlanta and no other city has a greater concentration of African-American business professionals. Recognizing the vitality and viability of that large and ever-growing population, The Atlanta Tribune focuses on that audience.

Our Readers - The Atlanta Tribune reader is young (or young in ideas), a bit of a risk taker, college educated, politically aware, culturally involved, family-oriented, upwardly mobile and relies heavily on common sense.

Our Editorial Focus - Delivering what our readers want, the primary editorial focus of The Atlanta Tribune is business, careers, technology and wealth-building. Secondarily, the magazine covers topics that include politics, education, cutting-edge news, commentary and lifestyle topics that affect the lives of our readers. We're timely, predicting trends before they happen and reporting on them as they happen.

The Atlanta Tribune is an advisor that offers helpful information and direction to the Black entrepreneur who is just starting out; to the professional man or woman who is trying to move ahead; and to the old hand who knows all of this stuff, but is looking for new ideas or just wants to know what everybody else is doing. An important aspect of our editorial is providing practical, "how to" information for our readers and using real-world examples of professionals and entrepreneurs who are successful in their pursuits. We supply our readers with the resources they need to duplicate the successes discussed or actions outlined in our articles.

Our Style - The Atlanta Tribune's editorial is clean, hard-hitting, investigative when necessary and always reflective and analytical. Our style is open, accessible and often irreverent. We talk directly to the reader in their own language and, much like our audience, we are bold in presentation and in spirit; always seeking to break new ground.

The Atlanta Tribune is a people publication. We derive our energy from our audience. Atlanta's personalities and her characters are our assets and our allies. We report on the lives and interests of African-American business people.
